Thank you for your kind comments about last week’s post about my grandson. Nothing warms a teacher’s heart especially a Grandma’s heart as when a child asks for and loves books. He asked for one on Bee’s which I sent him and he is going to tell me all about bees…I am learning from a 6-year old…
Colder weather has been a constant now stressing the emerging vegetation, but we are getting needed rain to break the moderate drought this area is in…
I love lilacs. They remind me of my maternal grandmother’s yard and how much she loved her lilacs..The process of the flowers coming up and then blooming is beautiful too. Two photos are from my archive, but I love them. The closed-up bud and the just emerging lilac….

Have a wonderful nature-filled week! Please be safe.
wow I can almost smell those lilacs from the photos. I love the smell but discovered in the past it was too strong a small to bring inside as a bouquet. We have roses like crazy now. See my website http://lettersfromlin.blogspot.com for photos.
I can’t wait to see some good lilacs. And by that I mean ones where I can get a good picture….I haven’t seen many yet on drives. Thanks for hosting.
I also love lilacs! Hope we see some in a few weeks as it gets warmer. We still have a few frost nights in the forecast.
Thank you
After I mowed today I walked around our yard and saw the lilac loaded with buds (but not as far along as yours). I love Spring, Michelle and especially more so this year!!…jp
Just beautiful!
Wonderful photos!
Spring flowers are always the best!
We have these growing in our garden, and yes, you’re right, Michelle, they do typify Spring!
PS: Thank you for hosting, Michelle.
