Join Nature Notes from Monday at 12:00 am EST to Friday at 11:00 pm EST. More information can be found at the top of the blog on a separate page, but it really is easy. What are you or have you seen and enjoyed in nature? It can be from your own backyard, the local park, out on a hike or anywhere. What plants and animals catch your interest? Do you garden? Have you read a good book on nature?

I had a different post up about the events this week in the US. But everyone saw what happened and everyone knows why. I am trying to move beyond these feelings of weariness and sadness. I am trying to find something that makes me smile and might make you smile too. Please stay safe…..

mallard duck and ducklings

Goslings hiding under Mom

chickadee sunning on the deck

big cloud yelling at smaller cloud

male monarch butterfly for release

Have a wonderful nature-filled week! Please be safe.
Michelle, I know how I feel so I’m sure I know what you’re feeling as well. Stay healthy and safe, my friend…:)jp
Delightful photos, Michele! I often use a hashtag on Instagram that #natureheals. It really does!
I love those photos and they make me really smile! Gorgeous!
ooh!!! I”m just now discovering your blog and my spiritual temperament is Naturalist so I will definitely be back to visit!! I enjoyed a quick walk around my backyard this afternoon videotaping a “footprints in the snow” lesson plan for my special needs preschoolers via google classroom. We are all in quarantine as we had a (thankfully!!) low risk exposure at the agency site where i teach. So our teaching is happening via live circles, etc. I love this blog and will be back!
Lovely post, Michelle! Take care and keep well.
