More information can be found at the top of the blog on a separate page, but it really is easy. What are you or have you seen and enjoyed in nature? It can be from your own backyard, the local park, out on a hike, or anywhere. What plants and animals catch your interest? Do you garden? Have you read a good book on nature?
Write a blog post with a photo, a story, a poem, anything goes because I love to see what Mother Nature is up to in your area. Please submit one blog post per week and link it back to Nature Notes in some way..

We got some snow now so there is no going back to the warmer days now……

Have a wonderful week and stay safe…

I am so sorry somebody misused your post 😦 But you are right, this place is not political. Just nature! Thanks!
You described it well. That seasonal change. Knowing it will be a while till the leaves return.
Enjoy your week Michelle.
I love the red leaves reflected in the water!! It’s lovely! (I read your note – I hope my words that aren’t about nature are ok? I link because of the photos….I might try to write a poem for you before xmas tho…I’ll put it in my challenge list ;).
Lydia..I will leave a comment on your blog…The post I referred to isn’t linked anymore but it was a religious sermon and political screed that had no business being linked to Nature Notes..
Beautifully expressed, Michelle. It has been such a stressful year, yet nature is healing and gives us all hope. Winter is coming but I like to think we can do the “Hygge” that Scandinavian countries do and enjoy the season of winter as much as all the other seasons.
I find your prose poem very powerful and moving. It’s not how I feel – I’m still able to enjoy autumn and am not really looking too deeply into what lies ahead – that is too unpredictable and possibly frightening so I’m very much living in the present – which means kicking at fallen leaves and watching them fall and fly around in the wind is still a pleasure, over and over.
Best wishes. I hope something of the fresh air breathes new life into you and lifts your spirits.
Lucy
I hear you loud and clear about Winter coming, Michelle. We got snow too, although we had fenced in the shrubs and put burlap on the newly planted ones…thank goodness. I also hear you about comments…hence, my new blog/name, etc.
Lovely sentiment at this time of year 🙂
Wonderful, reflective post, Michelle. The photo and words tie in beautifully and left me calm and serene. Thanks!
PS: Thanks for hosting, Michelle.
