Nature Notes (#412)~Where is spring?…..

Join Nature Notes Tuesday at 12:00 am EST to Friday at 11:00 pm EST. More information can be found at the top of the blog on a separate page, but it really is easy. What are you or have you seen and enjoyed in nature? It can be from your own backyard, the local park, out on a hike or anywhere. What plants and animals catch your interest? Do you garden? Have you read a good book on nature? Write a blog post with a photo, a story, a poem, anything goes because I love to see what Mother Nature is up to in your area. Please submit one blog post per week and link back to nature notes in some way.

–Winter still has us in her grasp…..

I am having trouble commenting on some Blogger Blogs for the past month. I usually sign in with my old Blogger Account and that has let me comment in the past. Now in some cases my Blogger name doesn’t show up on your blog and then I try to use just my name and blog address, but then I am sent to multiple choices of “pick all the cars” or crosswalks or something else over and over again as new photos are added. I can’t see those grainy photos very well at all and I just can’t keep struggling multiple times and again this is only on some Blogger blogs. But from now on, I will try and if I can’t it isn’t because I didn’t want to leave a comment. I am sorry that Google makes things harder and harder which is why I moved to WordPress almost 9 years ago…Michelle

Nature walks are wonderful. But you don’t have to travel to special location to enjoy Mother Nature. There is so much to see in your own neighborhood or even in your own back or front yard. Get a guide-book of the wildlife in your area and learn the calls of birds and frogs and toads. So many times I hear a bird that lets me know what I am looking for in the trees.

  1. Like you, I get those “recaptcha” messages frequently as well which is very frustrating yet, unfortunately, it is the world we live in. It does make things harder for the good people of the world though…:)JP

  2. Michelle – our snow is finally melting, which I am sure is a relief to all the animals around here. That deer with snow is adorable. I have yet to figure out the whole verification thing – I am curious – are you experiencing that with my blog? Thanks for hosting NN!

  3. Wow, Winter is definitely hanging on in your part of the world, while we are already seeing Autumn advancing steadily towards us… It’s been very dry, though, and they are getting ready to turn on the desalination plant in order to maintain Melbourne’s water supply.

  4. I hope the weather will improve soon in your part of the world. In north India where I live winter is loosening its grip and new tender shoots are appearing on trees. Spring is around the corner! Are you having a problem with my blog? I missed your comment last week.

  5. Spring is here too but it’s raining today-part of springing I guess. i’m going around with Google and blogger too and can’t see my photo when i comment any more. it’s too difficult to figure out…
